Malawians and foreigners resident in Malawi, have been encouraged to re-think their buying habits as the Southern African nation celebrates 54 years of independence.
In a joint statement released in Lilongwe today, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Hon. Henry Mussa, MP, and the UNDP Resident Representative Maria Jose Torres said as Malawi celebrates 54 years, it is important for citizens and foreign residents to consider buying locally produced goods and services to grow the economy.
