The Buy Malawi Strategy (BMS) proudly participated in the 6th Takulandirani Malawi International Tourism Expo, held from April 24–26, 2025, at the Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe. Sixteen enterprises under the BMS banner exhibited a vibrant array of Malawi-made products and services, celebrating the country’s unique craftsmanship, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit.
With over 7,000 attendees, including 43 international buyers, the expo provided a dynamic platform for promoting trade, tourism, and sustainable development. BMS members reported positive engagement, particularly with international buyers who were impressed by the quality and uniqueness of Malawi’s offerings. Kwithu Kitchen received special recognition from the Kenyan delegation, who expressed satisfaction with the brand’s products and the cross-border exposure it brought. Similarly, Margrate Ngwira of Linga Wines commended the expo for facilitating valuable collaboration, networking, and knowledge-sharing among local entrepreneurs.
Beyond the exhibition, the event served as a powerful recruitment opportunity. Several non-member businesses engaged with BMS representatives, expressing a keen interest in joining the initiative after witnessing its potential to enhance visibility, growth, and market access.
Through strategic participation in high-profile events like Takulandirani, the Buy Malawi Strategy continues to amplify its core mission:
